KazakhstanElena Rybakina is representing Kazakhstan on the Olympic Games for the first time and she is looking great at Tokyo. Elena didn't lose a single set to her opponents on the way to the semi-final.
In first two rounds Rybakina easily beat Samantha Stosur (6:4, 6:2) and Peterson (6:2, 6:3). In the round of 16 she had a more difficult match against Vekic, but a victory on a tiebreak of the first set sealed a quarter-final spot for Elena (7:6, 6:4).
In the quarter-final match against Muguruza Kazakh player was not considered a favourite. But again match was decided in the first set, where Rybakina played more accurately on her serve. In the second set Spanish player gave up on that match (7:5, 6:1).
