Marseille vs Eintracht Frankfurt: prediction for the Champions League fixture
On Tuesday, Marseille are set to host Eintracht Frankfurt at the Orange Velodrome in their second Champions League match. What to expect from the teams? Look out for our prediction below.

Command Analysis

Marseille

Marseille finished in 2nd place in Ligue 1 last season. Surprisingly, the team lost a lot of points at home - they won only nine out of 19 games at the Orange Velodrome and conceded more than one goal per game on average. Igor Tudor's men strengthened the squad in the summer and started the new season with confidence - after five wins and one draw, Marseille share the top line with PSG.
The French side kicked off their European campaign with a 0:2 loss to Tottenham last week. It was a close game for the first 45 minutes, but Tudor's team lost their grip after Chancel Mbemba was sent off.
Chancel Mbemba is suspended and will miss this game, as well as Samuel Gigot, who is injured.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt had a poor 2021-2022 Bundesliga campaign, but managed to win the Europa League for the first time in the club's history. This triumph brought them a direct ticket to the group stage of the main European competition.
The German club wasn't very lucky with a draw, however. In the opening Champions League game, Oliver Glasner's men lost 0:3 to Sporting CP. As for Bundesliga, Eintracht are currently in 11th place in the table with 12 goals conceded in six games.
Today the visitors will be without Aurelio Buta, Almamy Toure and Christopher Lenz, who are all out injured. Sebastian Rode is a doubt.

Tip and bets
The hosts are the strong favourites in this fixture. The French club has superior quality and strives for the top-2 finish in Group D. They struggled against Tottenham, but Eintracht Frankfurt is an easier opponent, plus the Germans are in poor team form. Marseille should get the upper hand here.
Our prediction - Marseille to win
Eintracht try to play an open attacking brand of football, and if they concede, they always go forward and take risks, trying to level the score. We believe that the home team will be able to take advantage of that and secure a comfortable two-goal victory.
Second bet - Marseille to win by 2 goals
