Will the Flames be able to take revenge for the away defeat? We tell you about it in the forecast

Command Analysis

Calgary Flames

Current form
Calgary recent success has helped it regain its place in the top eight in the West, but the Canadians' position in the playoff zone does not look secure. The Flames have earned only 36 points in 32 games and are ahead of Colorado only in the number of games played. The hosts finished the autumn with a bang, but at the very end of November they lost four games in a row, and in the previous seven games they were able to win only three times. The current series of games in the province of Alberta began for Ryan Huskey charges with a stunning rout from Tampa (3:8), but a day later the Flames unexpectedly beat Florida (3:0), not allowing the opponent to come up with anything in attack. Before the game against Ottawa, the Flames were close to beating Boston (4:3, OT). They led by two goals after the second period, but squandered a comfortable handicap.
Calgary offense is slowly picking up steam. Despite the fact that the Canadians score the least of all the clubs in the conference top ten, they have always scored at least three times in their last four games. Jonathan Huberdeau is trying to cement his place as the team leading scorer. He has 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists), but that only one more than Nazem Kadri (12 goals, 9 assists), who is the Flames' leading scorer.
Dustin Wolfe has once again taken over the club starting goaltender status. The American started the previous two games and has looked pretty good overall this season. The goaltender has stopped 91.32% of shots on his goal and made two shutouts in 16 games.
Disqualifications and injuries
Anthony Mantha and Justin Kirkland will not take part in the upcoming fight. Andrey Kuzmenko has not yet confirmed his participation.
Interesting trends for betting
- On average, Calgary allows at least 29 shots per game to its opponents.
The "Lights" play on counterattacks, so it is not surprising that the opponent, acting first number, often makes more shots
- Calgary gets 8.81 penalty minutes
The Flames are statistically penalized at least four times per game.

Ottawa Senators

Current form
Ottawa has crawled into the top half of the Eastern Conference thanks to a strong start to the winter. The Canadians have 34 points after 31 games, while they currently occupy the clear eighth place in the conference. Travis Green charges have found their best form this season and have won four games in a row. Previously, they were rather uncertain in defense, but they solved this problem and conceded only three times in the previous four games. The Sens beat Anaheim (5:1) and Pittsburgh (3:2, OT) at home, and dealt with Carolina (3:0) and Seattle (3:0) on the road. In the game against the Kraken, the Legionnaires skillfully took advantage of their opponent mistakes and held on to the result they needed.
Linus Ullmark has been in incredible form and has become the star of the Ottawa Senators this stretch of the season. The Swedish goalie has allowed only five goals in his last six games and has two shutouts, not allowing any goals against Carolina and Seattle. With Anton Forsberg injured, Ullmark should be the one to play every game for the Canadians.
For 15 games in a row, the Senators have consistently scored at least two goals, although they have not always managed to score more often. On average, Brady Tkachuk team scores 3.10 goals per game per season, but away from home this figure is only 2.63 goals. Tim Stuetzle has become the new leader of the visiting team attack. The German forward scores in almost every game and currently has 37 points (11+26) in the goal+pass system.
Disqualifications and injuries
Anton Forsberg, David Perron and Artem Zub will not be coming to Canada this Friday.
Interesting trends for betting
- Ottawa shoots more than 30 times per game
The visitors don't try to shoot from any position and this strategy often brings the Panthers the desired result.
- The Sens are averaging more than 27 hits per game.
Travis Green men love contact hockey and don't give their opponents much space.
Trends
Bet 1st period: total under 1.5 goals
The last three games involving Ottawa have not been a productive start
1.90Bet 2nd period: Calgary to score
In the previous seven matches, the "lights" scored in the second period
1.53Tip and bets
Calgary is very weak on the road, but in Alberta, Ryan Husky team demonstrates much better hockey. Ottawa is in excellent shape, but it will be very difficult for the visitors to win if Linus Ullmark stops helping out his teammates. The Sens score more at home, and on opponents' rinks they often try to play with an eye on their own goal. In this game, the Flames have excellent chances to score points. We think that the club from Alberta will not lose to their neighbors with the support of their home stands in regular time. We offer a bet on the double chance of the first.
Prediction - Calgary will not lose at 1.65
Bet on individual total
Calgary has been playing well defensively, although things have not gone according to plan for the home team in recent games. The Flames have allowed an average of 2.53 goals per game this season at Scotiabank Saddledome Arena. Ottawa hasn’t been as good offensively on the road and rarely scores more than twice. Travis Green’s men have only scored four or more goals on the road three times this season. We think the Flames will be able to hold off their opponents and not allow too many.
We take Ottawa individual total of less than three goals for 1.70
Total Bet
Most games involving Calgary are not productive. The team from the province of Alberta plays with an eye on its own goal and rarely allows opponents to freely dispose of the puck in its own zone. Ottawa often plays spectacular games, but on the road everything is different. Linus Ullmark has gained excellent form and Dustin Wolf can give him a fight. Let play a bet on the total under goals.
We bet on a total of less than six goals for 1.60
