On March 4, PSV will play in the first match of the 1/8 final of the Champions League against Arsenal. Command Analysis

PSV Eindhoven

Current form
PSV did not play the opening matches of the main stage of the Champions League in the best way, and after three rounds the chances of reaching the playoffs were minimal. However, in the last five rounds, the red and white won four times and eventually took 14th place with 16 points, making it to the 1/16 finals. In the final round, they managed to beat Liverpool 3-2 on their own field, which, however, did not play with the main squad.
In the playoffs, PSV had a difficult opponent, Juventus of Turin. Peter Bosch's team was not expected to be the favorite of the match, but they managed to pass the representative of Serie A. in Turin, they lost 1-2, won at home with the same score and scored the decisive goal in extra time. It should be noted that for the second consecutive season PSV is in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. Last year, Borussia Dortmund failed to pass at this stage - they lost 1-3 on aggregate.
Obviously, as the season progresses, the game and the results of the red-whites are affected by the busy schedule of performances. There has been a decent decline in the Eredivisie – the team has been without a win for four rounds in a row (three draws and a defeat). The result is that Ajax leads the standings after 24 rounds, while PSV is in second place and is already eight points behind its main rival. In the previous round of the championship, there was a 2:3 away defeat to the Go Ahead Eagles.

Bayraktarevic, Pepi, Tillman and Dest will not play today due to injuries.

Arsenal

Current form
Arsenal confirmed the status of one of the favorites and secured entry to the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. According to the results of the general stage, the Gunners scored 19 points, with which they finished in third place. The Londoners suffered their only defeat away from Inter with a minimum score of 0:1. It should be noted that Mikel Arteta's team conceded only three goals in eight rounds and became the best defensive player among all participants.
Arsenal played their last Champions League match on January 29, when they defeated Girona 2-1 on the road. Over the past month, the gunners have clearly slowed down. Since that match in Spain, they have played five matches (four in the Premier League and one in the League Cup), and won only twice. The Londoners are approaching the upcoming game in the Netherlands after two unsuccessful matches in the Premier League – a home defeat against West Ham (0:1) and an away draw with Nottingham Forest (0:0). The Gunners are still in second place in the Premier League standings, but they clearly won't be able to catch up with Liverpool, given the 13-point gap.
Arsenal's decline in play and results is most pronounced in attack – they failed to score a single goal in three of the previous four matches. The loss due to injuries to Havertz and Martinelli played an important role in this.
Disqualifications and injuries
Tomiyasu, Saka, Jesus, Havertz and Martinelli are injured and will not play in the upcoming meeting.

1.41Tip and bets
In the upcoming match, we believe that the most optimal bet will be on the exchange of goals scored. PSV is having big problems defensively, regardless of the opponent's level. For the past six matches in a row, taking into account all the tournaments, the red and white have missed. Arsenal is far from its peak form right now, which is largely due to losses in the squad, but given the weak defense of the opponent, the Londoners are able to win. At the same time, PSV traditionally relies on attacking, and the team cannot play any other way on its own field. Let's add that last season, the rivals in the Champions League drew 1-1 at this stadium.
Our betting tip is that both will score for a coefficient of 1.81
Betting on the outcome
Both teams are currently on the decline, the hosts have significant problems in defense, and the guests have noticeably slowed down in attack due to losses in the squad. It's hard to give any of them an advantage at the moment. The probability of a draw is high, as it was in the last face-to-face match.
The second bet is a draw with a coefficient of 3.60
Betting on corners
Let's pay attention to the promising trend in angular. PSV has provided at least four corners in eight of the last nine home matches in the Champions League. Based on these statistics, we recommend another option for a confident bet on the game.
Betting Tip – PSV's total corners are over 3.5 with a coefficient of 1.70
