Azarenka vs Pavlyuchenkova: will Nastya knock another Belarusian player out of the tournament?
On June 6, Victoria Azarenka and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova will play against each other in the round of 16 at Roland Garros. Russian player had already knocked Belarusian representative, Sabalenka, out of the tournament in the previous round. Should we expect another victory from Anastasia? The answer is in our prediction.

BelarusIt is the most successful Roland Garros tournament for Victoria Azarenka in last few years. We should mention that in previous three Paris tournaments Belarusian player failed to get past the second round. Three last matches proved that Azarenka's back injury is not a problem now and she is beating her opponents pretty easily.
Azarenka played her most difficult match at Paris in the first round, against Svetlana Kuznetsova (6:4, 2:6, 6:3). Victoria finished next two matches in straight sets. She got past Clara Tauson (7:5, 6:4) and then Madison Keys (6:2, 6:2), which we had predictions on.
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
Russian FederationAnastasia Pavlyuchenkova is on a wonderful form right now. After a slow start of the season Russian player improved her game and blossomed in Madrid. She reached the semi-final on that tournament. After a previous month Anastasia kept her great form and already got past three rounds at Roland Garros.
In first two matches Pavlyuchenkova experienced no problems against McHale (6:4, 6:0) and Tomljanovic (6:2, 6:3). In the round of 32 Anastasia had to play against Aryna Sabalenka, ranked fourth in WTA rankings. But Russian player still came out on top, after a set exchange she handed a bagel to Belarus representative in the decisive set (6:4, 2:6, 6:0).
Now Pavlyuchenkova is approaching another match against Belarusian player, this time it will be Azarenka. Nastya already played six matches against her, but won only one of those fixtures and only because her opponent left the match. But we should note that two matches on clay were extremely contested and Victoria won them with a margin of less than four games.
