SloveniaTamara Zidansek is only on the 85th place of the WTA rankings. She never was any higher than 56th spot throughout her career. Not many experts could've predicted Tamara to reach the semi-final of Roland Garros. But that happened and the Slovenian player shouldn't be underestimated.
In the first round Zidansek was close to defeat in a match against Bianca Andreescu, but in the decisive set Tamara played more carefully (6:7, 7:6, 9:7). After that she recorded a confident win over Madison Brengle (6:4, 6:1) and then she had another closely contested match, this time against Katerina Siniakova. Match against a Czech player started with a bagel, but somehow managed to turn the match around (0:6, 7:6, 6:2).
