Command Analysis

Nashville Predators

Current form
The Predators started the season very weakly, although many believed that Nashville would be one of the playoff participants from the Western Conference. However, the hosts do not give up and try to get out of the current situation, although they still occupy only 14th place in the standings with 33 points after 41 games. Andre Tourigny charges went on an away series before Christmas and were able to win only three out of seven games. In the new year, the Predators started with a defeat to Minnesota (3:5), but then won in Vancouver (3:0) and Calgary (4:1). In the final game in Canada, the predators were unable to contain the attack of Winnipeg (2:5). After the first period, the Jets were leading by three goals and calmly held the necessary handicap until the end of the match.
Nashville remains the conference lowest-scoring team, although the Predators have not been too bad up front lately. They have scored 12 goals in their last five games, although they failed to score in a December game against Winnipeg. Filip Forsberg has been a consistent point scorer this season and has been a bright spot for the visitors. The Swedish forward has 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists) this regular season.
Andrew Brunette has never been able to establish a reliable game in defense, which is why the Predators regularly concede a lot. In the last five games, the red light behind their net has come on 14 times. Juuse Saros failed in the last game, although before that he was magnificent in Vancouver. This season, the Finn left the ice without conceding goals four times.
Disqualifications and injuries
Jeremy Lauzon, Luke Evangelista, Cole Smith and Adam Wilsby are all out with injuries, while Steven Stamkos is questionable.
Interesting trends for betting
- Nashville gets 9.12 penalty minutes per game.
The club is not known for its good discipline and usually gets sent off at least four times per game
- Nashville averages 26 hits
Preds not shying away from physical and contact hockey this season

Washington Capitals

Current form
Washington is currently leading in the East, but the competitors do not allow the Caps to feel calm. The team from the US capital has scored 59 points in 42 games and is in first place in the Metropolitan Division, ahead of New Jersey and Carolina by five points. The hosts have a couple of games in hand, so they can create an even more impressive handicap from the Devils and Hurricanes if they continue to win. The Capitals have been alternating wins and losses for a long time, but have been scoring points for six games in a row. In early January, they earned points at home in matches against Minnesota (3:4, B) and the Rangers (7:4), did not finish off Buffalo in the suburbs of New York (3:4, OT), and then played two tough matches in the capital against Vancouver (2:1, OT) and Montreal (2:3, OT). In the confrontation with the Habs, Alexander Ovechkin team opened the scoring, but played poorly in the second period and ultimately lost.
The Capitals have had problems converting their chances from time to time and have scored only three goals in regulation time in the last two games. Alexander Ovechkin has slowed down after his impressive return to action and has not scored points in three games in a row. Dylan Strome remains Washington top scorer with 45 points (12+33).
Charlie Lindgren started the last game but was replaced early in the second period by Logan Thompson. Thompson had a less than stellar 38 minutes on the ice and was able to stop only .857 percent of shots. He will likely have to play against Nashville if Lindgren is seriously injured. The Caps have been playing well defensively overall, keeping opponents from taking many shots on goal.
Disqualifications and injuries
Sonny Milano, Nicklas Backstrom and TJ Oshie will not take part in the upcoming fight.
Interesting trends for betting
- Washington is averaging just 28 shots per game.
The Capitals don't shoot a lot, but they convert 13 percent of their shots.
- The capital team earns 8.33 minutes of penalty time per match.
The hosts are often sent off, but play well in the minority and cope with many of their opponents' attempts
Trends

The Predators have scored in the second period in eight of nine games.
1.45Tip and bets
Nashville is gaining momentum and has been doing well lately, even beating strong teams. The Preds haven't played on home ice for a long time, but even away they managed to earn almost half of their points. Washington has slowed down and is clearly in decline. Alexander Ovechkin has stopped scoring after a strong stretch and hasn't been able to score for three games in a row. The Caps played a very poor match the day before and only shot 17 times at Montreal goal. We think the hosts will be able to take two points in the match against the tired leader. We offer a bet on the first team to win with a zero handicap.
Betting Tip - Nashville win with handicap (0) for 1.75
Bet on individual total
Washington has been very weak defensively in recent away games and has been regularly conceding a lot. There are now questions about the visitors' goaltending, as Charlie Lindgren was replaced early in the second period against Montreal, and Logan Thompson failed to make any saves. Nashville has a great opportunity to score a lot against the Eastern Conference leader. We believe that they will be able to score at least three times.
We bet on Nashville individual total over 2.5 goals for 1.63
Total Bet
Since 2021, the teams have not pleased with bright matches and in the matches between the opponents, more than five goals have never been scored. Now everything may be different, because Nashville is very motivated to win and must go forward from the first seconds. Washington has someone to answer the goals against the guests, so we expect hockey on opposite courses with good results.
We take the total over 5.5 pucks with a coefficient of 1.80
