Nashville - Washington: betting tip for the NHL match

Andre Tourigny charges went on an away series before Christmas and were able to win only three out of seven games. In the new year, the Predators started with a defeat to Minnesota (3:5), but then won in Vancouver (3:0) and Calgary (4:1). In the final game in Canada, the predators were unable to contain the attack of Winnipeg (2:5). Nashville remains the conference lowest-scoring team, although the Predators have not been too bad up front lately. The hosts have a couple of games in hand, so they can create an even more impressive handicap from the Devils and Hurricanes if they continue to win. The Capitals have been alternating wins and losses for a long time, but have been scoring points for six games in a row. In early January, they earned points at home in matches against Minnesota (3:4, B) and the Rangers (7:4), did not finish off Buffalo in the suburbs of New York (3:4, OT), and then played two tough matches in the capital against Vancouver (2:1, OT) and Montreal (2:3, OT). In the confrontation with the Habs, Alexander Ovechkin team opened the scoring, but played poorly in the second period and ultimately lost.
The Capitals have had problems converting their chances from time to time and have scored only three goals in regulation time in the last two games. Alexander Ovechkin has slowed down after his impressive return to action and has not scored points in three games in a row. Dylan Strome remains Washington top scorer with 45 points (12+33).
Charlie Lindgren started the last game but was replaced early in the second period by Logan Thompson. Thompson had a less than stellar 38 minutes on the ice and was able to stop only .857 percent of shots. He will likely have to play against Nashville if Lindgren is seriously injured. The Caps have been playing well defensively overall, keeping opponents from taking many shots on goal.
